RE: whick bike GL1800 or K1200LT
Speaking of trailers,
How much braking power do you loose when a GL has a trailer?
If you have a standard size trailer attached to your wing, and you have to slam on the brakes, will the bike just keep going?
I have seen some riders with quit a bit of weight behind them on tow. It always seemed like it would never stop when needed.

Planning on doing the Bike trader tour this year. Im not sure whats involved exactly, but I know theres lots of riding involved.
Since my job keeps me prety busy I may not be going cross country too often, but maybe a few major trips throughout the ride season. Im assuming the tour will take me out of the NY, NJ, CT area.
I am also booked for Americade again this year. Prety excited about that.
Im looking forward to demoing the GL1800, the KAwi Versys and mybe a sport bike.
I have always liked the way the CBR looked, but who knows.
They also have new tours at Americade i will be joining as well.

I also read up on the Kawi and thought it looked like a peach. I saw the videos on the Kawi web site and the bike rcvd high grades from just about everyone who tested it.
I have to say though, I am also a cruizer person. I ride the vstar 1300.
When I was at Americade last year I demod the BMW and was not impressed.
I was not comfortable with its ergonmnics. Then again I am a cruizer guy.
So maybe just me and my taste. However for the 6800 price on the Kawi, it seems like a better deal. For the difference in price you can update that seat for something more easier on the rear.

I just went on Kawis web site and looked at the Versys. Its a 650cc bike that is geared more towards covering all aspects of riding. Take a look at the
site http://www.kawasaki.com/Products/Detail.aspx?id=246. They also have some viseos on the Press demos. Just $7000.
I would consider buying one myself, but I bought a new bike this past year. My wife would hang me by my toe nails.
Hmm, but if I buy it and put a big red bow on it and say...Suprize!!!
Aw... That wont work. She doesnt ride. Ahhh. If only...

Me?
Parked until the snow is gone.
I dont like to ride when there is wet on the ground and snow around.
That meens where there is no sun, there is potential ice. Even when most of the roads are just wet.
I dont like suprize slips.
Every so often I go out to the garage and check on the bike though.
It makes me feel better.
Got out a few hours before it started to snow though. took the bike about 40 miles east of my home and got a hot bowl of chicken soup from Penera bread. They bake a fresh round loaf of bread, dig out the inside and fill it with hot soup. MMMMMM... Nothing warms you up better. Threw back a hot cupa cauffee and I was ready for another 100 miles.

I remember seeing it, though I cant remember which mag it was.
I read Rider and AMA Motorcyclist.
While in a waiting room, I was thumbing through another mag, Cycle world I think.
Otherwise, you may just need to Google search it online.

Have you tried demo ing a few rides first?
Even though some dealers raise an eyebrow on it.
Some dealers will allow it.
Hit the Ralies. Check tyhe web for Ralys that have demo rides.
Sport touring? Hmmm lets see.
I demod the BMW and hated it. But thats just me. (I ride a vstar)
Howbout hookin a honda CBR and modifying it for sport touring?
Rais the bars, change the seating position and pegs?
I read a colomn on it. Or was it a Kawi? Not sure
